Can taking photos reduce stress?
Yes! So dust off your camera and get out there and start shooting. Taking photos can give your purpose and increase your self-worth. When you see your final product, you get a little boost of pride. You see your hard work paying off. Taking photos can also improve your creativity which in turn gives you more purpose and more self-worth. It’s like a never-ending circle! And when you feel you have a purpose and your self-worth goes up, your stress level feels like it goes down.

You feel like you can conquer anything, including whatever stressor is popping up at the moment.
Another way taking photos to reduce stress is to head out in nature. Nature is always a great way to reduce stress. Combining nature, photography, and maybe a bit of a walk you are bound to feel less stressed!
Photography can help you slow down and observe to find the shot you are looking for. Slowing down can help bring focus to things on our minds. It can help us to reframe recent events. It can allow us to step back from a situation and find the positive.
