You probably take at least one photo a day with your cell phone. But are you in any of them? How many of those cell phone shots did you print last year?
At least once a year you should refresh your photos.
Professional photos can be costly, but once a year, invest in your family and get some new images on your walls. With professional photos, your entire family can be in the shot, and no one (aka mom or dad) is left out. You also don’t have to deal with a tripod and dad running back to the group, so everyone is in the photograph!
As the kids get older, it seems families have fewer and fewer family photos done. But why not get new ones every year? Your kid’s looks and attitudes change every year, capture them, so you don’t forget. (And have ammunition to embarrass them later).
If you’ve never had a documentary session, this is the time to start. You can make it an annual tradition to capture your family and whatever you love doing together in the current year.
Maybe this year, you love baking cookies together, but next year you start family game night. Or you have an annual family Olympics you want to memorialize. Maybe you just want to capture your angry teenager pouting in the corner while mom and dad have fun.
Take a moment and think about your life at this very moment.
Now, what about this time of your life do you most want to remember? That is what you should have pictures done while doing. Refresh your photos with what you love doing now. Get some new prints for the wall or an album of your adventure.
Memories are important. You should have photos of your life and document the changes. In ten years, you may not remember the details of daily life, but you can pull out that photo album and be reminded of the time.
